St. Helen Philoptochos Society
The St. Helen Philoptochos is a chapter of the largest philanthropic women's group in the country
Philoptochos membership is ongoing throughout the year. Philoptochos needs YOU to fulfill its mission! You can support Philoptochos either as an active member or as a supportive member. For those too busy to attend a monthly meeting or be involved in any of its ministries or activities, your yearly $30 or more membership is a meaningful way to participate and offer your assistance.
PHILOPTOCHOS NEWS: Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s national call to increase awareness about heart disease, which is the number one killer of American women – making it more deadly than all forms of cancer. In support of this program, our Philoptochos is designating Sunday, Feb. 9th, as GO RED SUNDAY and are asking our Philoptochos members, as well as all parishioners to wear red when attending services this day. A special offering will also be collected in support of the American Heart Association.
Philoptochos Meeting: Monday, Feb. 10th, 6:00 p.m. in the Gold Room. All ladies of our community 18 years and up are welcome to attend and become active in the actions of Philoptochos. See Julia Papadopoulos, Leni Vinzant, Presvytera Kathy Pappas or Tasie Bairaktaris for more information.
